Affiliate marketing payouts are estimated to reach 4.5 billion dollars this year. With numbers like that, I’m not surprised you want to learn how to affiliate marketing for beginners. That is certainly one of the things that got me started.
I remember, in the beginning, I was looking for training. I knew I could be successful if only I could find a way to learn what I needed to do. It was really frustrating. I looked and tried and looked and tried.
I spent a lot of dollars on some of the programs, but they just taught me I needed to have more sense! There’s a lot of scams out there!
I tried one program after another. Each one lit my eyes up with anticipation. Each one taught me something too – that it was either for someone with fewer scruples, that it was definitely the wrong way to go, or that it was a complete scam.
The worst of them would even try to get more money from me by promising if I would just “buy this module” or “buy that module” all the tricks would be revealed. I know they were false promises, because I spent the money to find out.
I didn’t get into affiliate marketing because I’m broke. I got into it because I wanted to make money while I slept.
Of course, what I was really learning is that most of the programs out there did not have my best interests in mind. They were merely watching their bottom line.
How to Affiliate Marketing for Beginners: An Overview
Alright – enough about me. Let’s get into the thing we’re here to talk about – how to get you started in affiliate marketing.
Contemporary, Relevant Training is a Must
The first thing you should require of any program you consider is contemporary, relevant training. Ideally, it evolves as time goes on and is always up-to-date.
A lot of the things that used to work great for promoting a website no longer work. Even worse, some of them can get you penalized severely by the search engines – forcing you to pay for any traffic they send you (if they’ll even let you do that).
You’ll Get Stuck, So Make Sure You Can Get Support
The next thing you should be looking for in the program you select for learning affiliate marketing is support.
It’s easy for someone to put together a training course nowadays, and – if you’re in the know – it’s simple to write an article about how to learn affiliate marketing. Thanks to advances in technology, they might even include cool videos that give you step by step detailed information about how to do things.
What if you read or watch those steps and still feel like something is missing though?
Any program worth paying money for should be there to help you each and every step of the way. It should give you excellent training that does its best to answer all questions, but it should be willing to admit that everyone learns differently and that what works for one will not work for another.
They should be willing to get in the trenches with you.
In a perfect world, they may even have a life chat feature. That way, you can get an immediate response from someone that actually knows what they’re talking about. Someone willing to listen to your silly questions and not make fun of you. Someone that actually cares about your success.
I Finally Found What I Was Looking For
In February 2015, I finally found a place with all that and more! They have step by step training that is made up of both textual and video formats to maximize the ability for everyone to learn. They have tons of member-contributed trainings.
Every week they have a live webinar to bring focus to some relevant, valuable aspect of affiliate marketing. There is even a live chat where you can ask any question you like and get a prompt answer.
Wrapping it Up
If you’re looking for real training instead of gimmicks, if you’re willing to learn and apply that learning, and if you’re willing to do all of this consistently, there is a real answer to your question.
Want to know what it is? Wealthy Affiliate.
When I first found Wealthy Affiliate in February of 2015, I was still a sceptic. They had a 7-day trail of their premium features though, and so I figured “Why not?” There was absolutely no obligation.
On day 6 of my starter membership, I went premium. A month later, I upgraded to annual payments.
There are no upsells in Wealthy Affiliate. It’s one price buys all. Oh, and if you never decide you want to upgrade, you can stay a starter member for life and still enjoy the training available to starter members – along with free hosting of 2 websites that you will create during your training.
If this sounds at all interesting to you, why not give a Wealthy Affiliate starter account a try today?
I think you’ll be glad you did.
